Baileyrose85's Journal, 05 Oct 12

I finally feel like things are falling into place. Scale is down another pound this morning, which puts me 4.5 pounds from my recent low point. If the scale keeps dropping like this, I should hit that by the end of next week. I forgot just how quickly I lose when I am not eating carbs and this time, I am not completely obstaining, just not eating grains (breads, pastas, rice) or mass amounts of sugar. My body just seems so happy! Best of all, I don't feel like I am being deprived while I am doing it.

I am hoping to plan some hiking or something this weekend since it will be out of the 90-100 degree range and at a much more tolerable 80-85 degrees. I am more confident than ever that I will be able to stick to this over the weekend. Then come next week, there will be a month of ease in front of me.

My fiance decided last weekend that this coming Monday he is going to quit drinking for a month. For those of you that don't know, Ryan is a drinker. He can kill a 12 pack by himself on any given night, and that doesn't include special occasions or get togethers. He wants to lose weight too and has decided to start by cutting out the drinking. I am pretty stoked for many different reasons, especailly that he wont try to beg me to partake with him. I am counting down the days till Monday.

Anyways FS'ers! I am off to try an get some work done! Good luck with your weekends!

It's 40 degrees here today. :) Enjoy your heat! Glad your body is happy and you're not feeling deprived - that's the goal, right? More people need to find that balance... including me! That's great that your fiance is going to quit drinking for awhile, maybe he'll realize that he doesn't miss it that much?? Or at least it could get him to cut back a lot after this month is over - hope he can stick with it! Apart from the other health risks that it causes, it's SOO many calories!!
