Magpiezoe's Journal, 23 Dec 18

Yesterday's calories aren't as bad as I thought they would be. It was such a stressful day. Started out good. Hubby decided to help me with the cleaning, and I managed to accept the offer. (I'm the type of person, who likes to do everything themselves.) Late afternoon I get one of those calls moms of college age students fear. My son's bus ran into heavy traffic and was too late for the transfer bus home! Hubby went into a panic tantrum, which meant I had to try my best to ignore him so we could get our son home. The next bus wouldn't be going out until early this morning, which meant they were in the bad section of the city without any place to stay. Called Greyhound and there was no way to call the bus station to alert them or ask them what they were going to do about their late bus. All I could get was some (*)&)*&^ people answering the Greyhound phone from India!!!!! Yes, I'm mad. These people have no connection to Greyhound in the U.S., so they can't even get in contact with the bus station and refuse to give you their full name saying that they aren't allowed to give out their full name. You know they are giving you fake first names, just like typical scam artists so there is nothing you can do to help your loved ones get home. It's awful. The bus missed the transfer bus by 3 @#$%@#$ minutes! You mean they couldn't hold their own transfer bus back? They sent an almost empty bus up to our bus station! There were 7 other people besides my son and his girlfriend stuck in the "City of Brotherly Love." (Philadelphia) Luckily my son made friends and the group of them split the cost of getting an uber to drive them up to a nearby college. My wonderful brother-in-law drove me up to the college, which was 45 minutes away to pick them up. This is why the fast food meal. When we all got home I made the shrimp and eggplant hubby took out for me to make them. They were starved. I thank God everything turned out fine. Thank you everyone for listening to my rant and thank you for all the support.
