I don't sleep well if I deprive myself too much on the calories. When I eat well I sleep better. I try not to eat too much later at night. I prefer a good hearty breakfast and an early dinner, so I tend to eat well around 3 pm and then eat a little with my husband when he comes home from work. or at least that is the plan. Monday nights are steak night so that day I do eat heavier, I am not missing my steak! LOL!

I hadn't connected sleep with calories, but it might affect it. I'm a night person, I prefer late nights and late mornings. I'm trying to switch to heavier breakfast and lunch and light supper. It's definitely hard to switch lifetime habits. Since I've been switching to heavy fat, I'm finding I get sleepy earlier in the evening. It is interfering with my evening reading and I also fall asleep at the computer, and during the 10 o'clock news. Supper is usually a 7 or 8 or 9 p.m. meal because we seem to do our farm chores after the day cools a little. Fall weather will help put us back on a better schedule. I'll pay attention to sleep vs calories and see if it is related for me.
