Texasgranny6's Journal, 23 Jul 18

I did a BS check at bedtime last night. My BS was 93, so I skipped the Januvia I take at bedtime, and ate a piece of cheese. This morning's fasting BS was 139, better than I expected, but higher than I wanted. Weight was up 2 lbs, from eating too many carbs on Sunday. I plan to rectify that today, starting with a smoothie with coconut oil and keep day's carbs down below 10%.
Update:1333 cals, 74/7/19 % Net carbs 15.89 Includes the bacon omelet I'm fixing for supper. The temp has cooled down to a balmy 93 degrees, so I'm doing some yard work -- weed eating around the garden and the front sidewalk. Only got in about 30 minutes before I ran out of the cutting wire. I don't want to drive 30 miles to buy more tonight, so I'll finish that job later in the week. It's lovely out, with a north breeze, and it feels like it could rain. That's not in the forecast however. 90 something degrees all week feels like a reprieve! First day without triple digits in a week. So I still have enough energy to ride my exercise bike! 3966 fitbit steps today. Thought I did more than that!

sweet potato will get you everytime! well unless you eat nothing else in the carb department. I don't know the sugar content but that is definitely something I would not risk trying to keep blood sugar low.
