“There is nothing that happens in your body overnight that magically makes you gain weight, says Sonya Angelone, RD, spokeswoman for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. “Your metabolism doesn't stop, so you gain or lose 'weight' any time,” she says. -Make sure you weight in at the same time everyday doing the same things (shoes on / off restroom etc) Weighing too often is discouraging and makes you over think the “number” I had to get rid of my scale for a year to stop obsessing about the number. Even sleep quality messes with water weight like you are experiencing Keep your head up 😊

Ok everyone I need low carb and calorie foods from Golden corral if you have eaten there besides the salad I will be eating there tomorrow with my hubby to celebrate a event and I can always do the salad bar and buffet but would like to know some meat and sides they serve that's not really awful. Thank you

Watch what the thin people in the room load on their plates, and copy (also watch what they don't finish). Definitely don't go back for seconds or dessert. Eating healthy is a lifestyle, and anyplace there's a salad bar, there's no excuse.

I find my cheap Weight Watchers (WW) branded scale to be very reliable and consistent. Had to change batteries in it maybe once in the many years I have owned it.

Just bananas I understand that theory of watch what the skinny ppl eat and don't finish but that doesn't work because my husband is 160lbs so tall and skinny and eats anything he wants and alot of carbs I'll probably just stick with salad and grilled chicken if they have grilled chicken.. I'm not a big desert person but sometimes I do eat it and I made myself a promise to not even go near the desert bar and stick with fruit and salad and steak or chicken.. But thanks for your help I'll still try to see what other skinny ppl are eating and not eating tho..

Their menu is online. Main - either steak, or roast turkey or baked fish. Sides, broccoli, green beans, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots. Salad bar veggies with dressing on the side. Dessert - fruit from the salad bar. Like most places there is so much stuff on the menu that just doesn't fit into the plan of a person wanting to shed weight. So much breading (drives me nuts as it is on almost everything) /fried/encased in carbs stuff. Then there are the dessert options...all of loads of calories. Even though they show as having sugar free dessert options, to make things palatable there tends to be a ton of carbs and fat to make up for it. Eating out is hard (at least for me)
