It has been almost a month since my last weigh in. I have been out of the country in Europe, no access to a scale but watched the macros the best I could in restaurants, hotels and concerts. Honestly, Germany was the worst....carbs were just everywhere....even in the air I think. The smell of fresh baked pretzels dominates the air! But, this was my test. How to come out of my hyper-diet focused cocoon of a world and live in the mainstream without sliding back to old habits. (Well, not slide too far anyway....In honor of being back in the country where I was born I had to have a GERMAN BEER!) It is the end goal I kept telling myself, right? GOAL: Loose 10-15 pounds of fat at natural, even pace then slightly up the carbs to stabilize that new weight for at least 1-2 weeks or so by not loosing nor gaining. (not an easy task) Keep it consistent, keep it natural and keep it organic. Keep repeating this strategy until I reach my ideal weight target zone. END GOAL: Maintain your weight loss by keeping the macros balanced weekly. I have learned for me, it has been like a weight lifted off my shoulders when I stopped counting calories. Also, it is EXTREMELY helpful to focus on my food consumption for the whole week not daily. When I over consumed starchy veges one day I spent the next 2 days increasing my fat ratios...Extra Avocados and bacon with the eggs, 3 dollops of sour cream. It balances those carbs right out. So, I could be upset that I only lost 3 pounds this past month but I refuse to let my scale obsessed mind go there when I should be screaming I SURVIVED A MONTH IN EUROPE AND DIDN'T GAIN WEIGHT!!!
128.6 kg Lost so far: 1.4 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 0.4 kg a Week

Sweetincense.....Macros are Fats, Proteins and Carbs. I focus all my attention to them being in balance at every meal. I follow a low carb, high fat diet. LCHF 60-70% of what I eat is natural fat like avocado or grass-fed animal fats, butter, heavy cream, etc. I eat no more than 10% of my calories from carbs. the rest proteins. I don't count calories at all. These strict Macros help to consistently melt your fat reserves down like a hot knife thru butter. Not easy to do and maintain but very effective and nourishing to the brain too.
