home scale weigh in at 2:30am up another pound but I think it's a combination of water weight and no bowel movement for the last 2days.. I ate only 1700 calories yesterday and took in 50g less in carbs but drank alot of water and on the last bottle of water I had noticed that I went up 2 pounds on the scale after I drank it before I drank it the scale read 342 lbs which I could tell I was really bloated already and after it went up to 344 which was 5pounds difference from what it was when I woke up yesterday and then I only got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom once until I woke up at 2:30. a little bit discouraged at the scale going back up but hopefully it will go back down a couple pounds the last time this happened I weighed in at 347 that morning and I drank 4 of the 16.9 oz bottle of water which is like 8 glasses of 8 oz water and was really bloated the same way and the next day I woke up and my weight was going down the whole day even though I ate by the next day I was like 3pounds down and continue to loose a little bit of weight everyday with the occasional up and down due to bloating.
I have lowered my calories to 2,000 a day but still am not eating all 2,000 and lower my carb intake to 45% instead of 50% which is where it was at. protein was at 15% yesterday considering I only ate 1700 calories and didn't get to exercise as I could barely move and stand up due to my back hurting so much I did do alot of extra seated exercises on Saturday and Sunday so hopefully I didn't pull a muscle and it was just soreness from using the muscles in my back more than usual.
154.4 kg Lost so far: 5.7 kg.    Still to go: 54.6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Most Excellent Sara, it's good to pay attention to how much fluids and food you put into your body and the resulting weight increases. It's not actual fat you are gaining, it's water and it's temporary in a manner. I did an experiment where I weighed everything I ate and drank and wrote it down to see the total amount of weight I added to my body in a 24 hour period. 1 gallon of water weighs 8.3 pounds, and my food weighed 1.5 lbs. So, if I was retaining water...bloat & swelling and not having a BM, the scale would show an almost 10 pound increase for that day. It was an eye opener and one of the reasons I stopped stepping on the scale every day. We simply don't realize what the actual weight of what we consume is, and as it leaves your body in the manner it is supposed to, then you are ten pounds down. That is why I like to have a fasted weight, it's more accurate because you have shed the extra fluids and the digestive tract weight usually in the first 24 hours of fasting, so weight loss at the end represents the amount of fat lost better. You are doing so well!! Way to stay alert and learn your body.

Thank you so much Debra I did fast yesterday but broke it and started over I had last meal at 1pm but ate couple bites of popcorn at 4pm.so had to start over uuh anyhow I noticed that this morning after drinking liquid and ate few strawberries scale up 2 pounds which I know is mostly water sitting on me I still feel bloated. I've had a stomach/bloating issue all my life no matter what I ate I could eat vegetables like green beans and be bloated after or something like a whole meal and still be bloated the same way. So once this bloating goes down is when the scale will go back down.

It's been my experience that bloating has a lot to do with drinking soda. I had a 12 pack a day habit back when I lived in South Florida and I was so used to it that I did not even realize what caused it till I quit them in 2010. I do miss the carbonated burn sometime, but I can get that from sparkling mineral water, I don't drink a lot of it, but I pour a wine glass full of it sometimes and sip it and enjoy that delightful bubbly burn for a little bit. I have never regretted quitting soda. Saved me money and all kinds of other health issues.

A 16 hour fast may be your sweet spot right now.

Thank you zenus warrior princess I will watch it and do research on it. I do love meat products like chicken steak roast , and hamburger so if I can eat those on it then it may help me. I did have sausage and eggs with one buscuit for breakfast and I still have not had no bm but I got a few extra minutes of sleep about an hour or so and then woke up had to urinate and got on the scale just to see what it read and it was back to 340.4 which is what I weighed in at this morning so I'm glad after it went up because I drank liquid and ate strawberries early that's it's went back down I know most of it is water and bloating. Hopefully better news in the morning that it's down even more . Thank you everyone for your help. Lady denim I want to fast that long but I'm not sleeping well and it affects me because then I want to eat after 10hours with only 4hr of sleep.

I'm sorry about the insomnia. I have suffered with it from time to time and it's awful. In that case, go for 12:12.

Check your sodium intake. I do not use table salt, but some foods are high in sodium. So, if my sodium is high my weight goes up, but I do not drink more liquids.

Also if you are weighing multiple times a day that is going to mess with your head. Try once a day or once a week so you dont develop overly compulsive tendencies. Have you thought about lowering your calories to something like 1200?

Lots of advice here. Everyone has weighed in: keto faster, carnivore, low calorie plus exercise, macro minder, eat-whatever-you-want faster. One thing we all have in common is being honest about our food, logging our meals, and staying at or below FS maintenance RDI. Everyone here has lost weight. Everyone here wants you to succeed. Try things out. Be honest and don't give up.
