My peak weight was about 280. I got down to 195 using Ideal Protein about 2 years ago, and kept my weight within 10 pounds for about a year. During that year, I got into Triathlon and obstacle course races and trained for and completed a half-ironman, and a Spartan Beast. I had some life circumstance changes and I let my weight get back up to 241 about 2 months ago. I had been trying to go Keto, with only limited success. I still had about a month worth of IP packets sitting around, so I thought I'd give them a go again... in less than a month, I've taken off 14 pounds. Not only that, I'm able to reduce my caffeine input (which I could also do on Keto), and I feel very good. I bicycle every day to commute (an hour each way). I'm looking forward to getting back down to a weight that will let me start running 3-5 miles a couple of times a week. That, and I try to get to the gym a couple of times a week for weight training
