Steven Lloyd's Journal, 09 Jul 17

It's been a long while since my last post; not much to comment on, staying on track, living a busy life, logging intake and expenditures each & EVERY day which helps keep weight and fitness within a narrow range.

Speaking of calorie expenditures, I recently switched out my Garmin Vivosmart HR for a HR plus, which has built in GPS. I use them to more accurately track my training efforts and daily calories burned. It uses my heart rate to calculate effort and calories burned with the GPS to calculate distance, speed, route, etc. Quite a bit more accurate than the Fat Secret exercise estimates which are averages for the population and only time based. It also picks up the afterburn from a typical HIIT workout, Google "Orange Theory" if you are curious about afterburn.

Thats it for now, take care all and wishing you best of luck on reaching your goals!!

Thanx Kpp & Kpw...looking a little sweaty for sure :-) HCB, I've been doing my own version of Orange Theory for about 12 years...I love how it works for both conditioning and calorie afterburn!!

That was never a problem in your Hawaii pics. Gee, what was it you did to avoid that? Oh, I remember... :-P

Will pass that on April...all the little ones are keeping us pretty active. The boys even had their first few ski days last winter (they were 2 1/2 yrs old then). True Kpw...you know that Hawaii is MUCH warmer than up here in Canada :)

Yes April, also really looking forward to some fun times in the years ahead. John, I tried the link but no success. My unit links with My Fitness Pal but not Fat Secret. :(
