Draglist's Journal, 11 Mar 17

First full day back in my own home since February 14 began with a luxurious sleep in until 10 am. It's funny, having gotten used to eating breakfast had me feeling 'drained' and in need of food immediately. I usually do not wake up hungry. And this wasn't hunger per se, but a feeling of needing energy. That's how I feel hunger these days, so it is taking a bit of getting used to. However, got a nice new 2017 low of 201.0 as a weigh in. To get back on my calorie average of 1650 per day, I was going to target 1000 per day this weekend, but I may take it easier than that and slowly catch up over the month. The last few days have shown me that I can lose despite eating more than target. In fact, I'm going to do a separate journal entry where I outline the differences between my current (hospital and post hospital) WOE, and what I did before. I am determined not to slip back into the WOE that caused me to retain an extra 10-15 pounds of water at all times. But I just don't know what aspect of my former WOE did that! Or, has my constitution simply changed since my procedure? Don't know but I need to write it all down so I can refer back to it in the future. Cheers! UPDATE: Walked a total of six miles today as I get that back on track. But ate more than 2200 calories as I did dinner a little late and was famished. Denise made amazing chicken breast, ham, and cheese rollups. To die for! But pre-bed weight didn't suffer too much.

It's always better sleep when it's in your own bed

Great news! I agree with the loving your own bed sentiment. Even the best holiday away has that home at last feeling when you get into your own bed (usually with freshly laundered sheets). Take care!

Ever get Verizon. I was told to never to try and call on weekends. I discovered it to be true. Early morning seemed to be a good time.

That woman's a gem. You should marry her. Oh, wait, clever fellow, you did! Glad to hear you're happily nesting together at home.

Draglist!!! You are home, you scoundrel! 😁 So glad for you and for Denise. I have so much to catch up on here. I will later but I wanted to thank you for supporting me through Micky's stroke and heart attack. We're not out of the woods yet ... but soon! So happy you are home! Hugs!
