Draglist's Journal, 05 Jun 16

Woke at 203.6, up .4 from yesterday. Got a great sleep in. Ate lunch after 16:8 IF and puttered around for a few hours. Contemplated the treadmill but the anticipated rain held off and I went out for a nice six-mile walk. Got a 200.8 weigh in upon my return. Ate another massive salad for dinner plus some meat. Enjoying eating all these nuts and they seem to have no effect on weight despite the calories. Hit my calorie target (reduced by 200 after eating a 200 surplus yesterday).

Nice job here. I have one question for a simple mind. What is now your BF percentage, if I may ask. Thank you very much. I know about Tanita nothing, only the singer, you remember (lol)

Thanks, Carmen! According to my scale, my body fat is 15 percent. I have been as low as 14.8 recently but went back up a bit after my big weekend last week. I am going to see about going to a BodPod place where they will measure it with more accuracy. There is one at a hospital downtown in DC.

I have notice that nuts and seeds don't affect my weight negatively at all...I keep in in moderation all the same. Your progress is great! I enjoy your posts. Thanks

15%? Wonderful Bill. I think less will not be O.K if you are tall. Thank you very much. I have never known my percentage, from what I read here, must be 40%, I mean it. I think there are sights with measurements, I will search. Thank you very much my buddy :-)

Thank you, Gracious! I also have read that. A major study was done using CICO and they added a handful of nuts (or more) to the study member diets and they found the nuts had no effect (or even caused weight loss)! They could not figure out where the extra calories went! Finally, understand this after studying Dr. Jason Fung.

Thanks, Carmen! I am trying to hit 10 percent but that might take a while (if ever)...

Way to go, Bill! Curious, what kind of scale do you have. I am in the market for a new one and was looking into one that gives me all the readings, not just weight. Suggestions??

Thanks, Skwhite, Mom, Laura, and Pam! Laura, I have a Tanita BC-533. I really like it but I've had it for a few years and there may be updates to it or other models out there that may be a bit cheaper. I got it for $89 but it soon went to about $129 US.
