Steven Lloyd's Journal, 08 May 16

Another pound down...4 total from April 20th, when I "rebooted" after a very long plateau.

Skinniest I've been since in my 20's...even thinner than my picture from 20th. Lisa, my better half, doesn't want me to get any thinner, but I still would like to lose a bit more fat and see how that works, while hopefully maintaining my existing strength, endurance and health. The experiment continues...

UPDATE: for anyone interested, Here is the link to @Jimmiepop's post below from the Lean Gains website;

Nice! And an experiment it is to find that balance. Thank you for the Mother's Day wishes on Mom2boxer's post and glad you still like my cat image. For some reason it also makes me chuckle even after all this time...

Ya mom, she likes me no matter what I look like...go figure. Trackin, you are welcome...also that kind of humor I love..I can see a cat reading that book and being totally miffed.

Thanks Jimmie and HCB...I agree HCB, I am carrying a bit of muscle still and I do like to protect what I have as it is much harder to gain than maintain. You might not know this but I have really good speed, endurance and cardio for any age...I love to back country ski and cross country ski, both require strong legs, core, back, shoulders and arms to move efficiently for long distances at high rates of vertical gain. I will be talking with Jimmie soon on a strength program that doesn't include bulking, as I am more interested in power to weight ratios than just strength and muscle size.

Oh ya, I do resistance training every day...TRX and some small dumbbell work (30's and 35's).

Hey HCB...Back is ahead of schedule, healing nicely...not a lot of clearance with the scar tissue formed, so with repetitive or stressful movements it can get irritated and start pressuring the sciatic nerves...this is pretty uncomfortable...icing relievs the inflammation, pain and pressure....totally expected in the healing process and nothing to be allarmed by or so I've been told.
