Steven Lloyd's Journal, 22 Feb 16

Another pound gone since I ruptured my disk one week ago. Doctor check up later today to make sure things are going well but over the last two days I've had much improved movement and less back and leg pain which are very encouraging...I even got in a few walks and some very light upper body exercise. I've included below a before pic (July 15, 2015, two weeks before getting on FS), a midterm pic (last October) and after pic (a few days ago) of my progress over the last seven months.

I struggled with even showing these pics as I do not want anyone to think I'm showing off or got it figured out...and I still have a ways to go, but take these as encouragement to some and a thank you to several others on this site that encouraged and helped get me here (you guys know who you are).

There was some effort and commitment expended to get here, but without the encouragement, education, and FS tools, this fat loss wouldn't have happened. Mostly I am really excited that I see this new lifestyle as VERY sustainable! Now I also know my diet plan wouldn't work for a lot of people, but it worked for me, I've never really felt like I was on a diet yet, just living life with much more knowledge and accountability to myself.

Thanks again all!! Wishing each of you great success no matter where you are at on your journey to a healthier, fitter, you!!

From a middle aged guy (who has trouble linking pics :)

WOW! You look younger and tougher! Great work and awesome transformation! I'm 42, but I'm more like you than I am those 20 year old youngun's! Thanks for posting and giving me hope! I agree with kpwcalories! Not the same man, indeed!

Thanks KPW, it needed to be done, resting heart rate and other factors were highly motivating. Bill, no worries man, I was fortunate to catch myself early, you're still killing it. Don, you'll have this locked down too if you're patient. Arctic, you've lost more and been at this longer, hats off to you!!

Way to go, man. You're aging in reverse!

You even look younger in the face. I hope that happens for me, because now my wrinkles are more visible.

Great job! And great point that you have to find what works for you and make it a lifestyle change. I'm a yo-yo so still trying to find my maintainable rhythm.

Hey John, thanks for the kind comments, didn't plan on "getting younger" but did plan on getting rid of the fat and getting off the pre-diabetic rails.

@scalewatcher, thnx!! The picture is very flattering, I've still got wrinkles...maybe a bit less fat here and there helps, :-0

@John10251, thanks for the kind comment John, the back was just a week ago...for that I am very thankful. I have adjusted my calories downward to compensate for my new relative lack of calorie expenditure - before this I was averaging about 2200 - 2400 cal per day.

Hey Suzy, when I'm doing long endurance training that song is my HIIT session, 4 minutes plus of high tempo...I'm totally drained at the end of it.

@Mistybenner, thank you very much, that was 100% the intent. The people on FS have really been a huge part of this for me, inspiring, encouraging, informing...I am very thankful and if I can help a bit here and there, then that is a bit of payback for the help that I have received along the way.

Glad to see all the progress you have made. I hope your back recovers 100%, I know I am getting more concerned by the moment with my knee, but the weight loss has really helped. I never new how bad by weight was getting, because it was all over my huge body. lol Best of luck there.
