Draglist's Journal, 08 Oct 14

Dropped two more pounds today to reach 212.6 on another light eating day. Got the Kennedy Center tomorrow night but will try to behave. Definitely will not eat as much as last time. Then, had a huge cheese tray appetizer that I barely got through before the main course. Of course, it came with loads of wonderful French bread. That one is off the menu for me!

Look at you go. I like your planning to be self-aware while at the Kennedy Center. J

Good idea to checkout the menu beforehand Bill! try and say no to the extras and keep talking, they're the worst for cals!

Thanks, Jen! I looked at it and will have either chicken or salmon. One bottle of wine only, no appetizer, and no before or after dinner drinks! Dessert only if they have fresh berries or something.

WAY TO GO on your weight loss! :D (And I can understand the temptation of cheese and bread!) :)

Cheese tray!!!!!!

I skipped that, Pam, but it was hard. They serve several fine cheeses and meats, all with lots of bread, a few types of jams and mustard, etc. It's actually a full meal in itself. The last time I was there, I was only halfway through it when the main course came. Tonight I did much better (but was not an angel by any means!)

Can I just say I want your life?

Thanks, Instantcrazy. I was a poor kid from the projects when I was young. I do remark every single day how fortunate I am. Thanks to many who helped me get here. I am lucky to live in this great city, too. So much to see and do.

Strategising with the food is an excellent way to fight the food before it gets you ! So did you dress up or this event ? Suit or tux ?
