Been away for about six months, not tracking or doing regular weigh ins l, after being pretty frustrated with a long standing plateau. The good and bad news is that after six months I’ve only lost about 4 1/2 lbs. I guess I should be grateful I haven’t gained from not tracking. Started working out every day doing aqua aerobics for an hour, and it’s good for my energy and flexibility but bad for my nightly cravings- I’m so hungry afterward. Would love to hear any suggestions from people to avoid snacking after evening swim/workouts!

I find it very hard not to snack in the evenings and especially after exercise. I can often curb the snackies by lots of water (plain, soda water with fresh lemon, Bublys, and tea) and a small but substantial bite like a Madegood bar which is only 100 cal but feels more satisfying than other foods. good luck!

Madegood bars are a good idea- something I can eat slowly that is filling, thanks for the suggestion! I picked up cup of soup as the liquid is filling but the sodium late at night makes me retain water. It’s like my body just wants to hang onto every pound for dear life 🙄.

If you don’t mind taking in 100 calories, you can eat 250 grams of carrot sticks , which is quite a lot. They take a while to eat and are filling as well .

My tip is to eat a really good dinner. I know the rule: breakfast is gold, lunch is silver and dinner is lead but I feel better if I eat a really good dinner. Simply, I prefer a lighter breakfast/lunch so I can have a great dinner. I don’t snack in the evenings as a result.

I try to keep a certain amount of calories for evening post workout snack (carbs + proteins as it is post workout). By cutting a little 50-60cals on each meal/snack during the day, I can easily have a 200cals snack in the evening. This way my body is happy to be fueled after the workout, my stomach and brain are happy to have a snack and I sleep damn well 😅
