Hello folks! Small weight loss due to being displaced at the moment. I was evacuated from my building last Monday by firefighters. Walked down 10 flights, then had to be chair stair lifted rest of way. The problems started on Dec 22 due to frozen pipes burst & flooding many floors; I had no power, no water, no heat & no elevator on Christmas Eve but it seemed like things were getting fixed when there was another major flooding incident. Also happened to be -35C windchills. I am one of the lucky residents as I am staying with my neighbour at her friend's condo with her 3 cats (owner is out of town for work). Many other residents stayed in hotels for a few nights, social agencies failed them and management told them to "contact crises centres or go to homeless shelters". Last word is "maybe" Jan. 10th for return. Being away from my routine and in this situation has forced me to look at my life. What's really important??? Well, 2022 will only get better from here! LOL :)

Oh my goodness, what an adventure! I admire your positive attitude in such a trialsome time. On the plus side: surely 2022 has to turn out a lot better than that!!!

Oh wow that is horrible. So glad you have a place to stay. I've saw this situation on the news where management says you are on your own plus January rent is due - in the freezing weather! You have such a good attitude. Best wishes.

oh I didn't see it on the news, I saw it in a landlord and tenant fb group im in, but im in Edm. what a disaster:( im so sorry to hear that happened
