Liv Lite's Journal, 20 Aug 21

Okayyyyy decided to suck it up and post my honest weigh-in this morning because it was kinda a shock! Well, eating 3000-4000 calories regularly over 8 weeks results in weight gain. 25 pounds (from Feb 2020): 10 lbs prev "Covid gain" + 15 pounds knee injury gain (10 lbs first month, 5 pounds second month). My activity stopped and I ate. Then ate some more! It's up to me to change this. I wanted to document this number (this is my second weigh-in this morning LOL - first was 298.2). I am swollen & bloated. In good spirits, tho, cos I know I'VE GOT THIS!

Aug 20: weight 299.0; waist 47", belly button 57"

Shake off this stress eating, pity party nonsense and get back to it! Can I blame overeating on the Full Moon this weekend?? LOL New rule: if I am embarrassed to record it in my FS diary, then shouldn't be eating it!

Good news: saw specialist on Wed (MSK doc), I have a torn MCL (not meniscus) and recovery will be another 5-6 weeks. Next week will start physio. Low impact exercise encouraged and using temp knee brace until correct brace can be acquired. I am now double vaxxed; I am not moving (YET), so my life can move forward. Wildfire smoke has cleared from city and cooler temps. Yippeeee I actually am pretty motivated right now!

Have an awesome weekend, FS fam!!!

Your set back is your set up to your spring board for success. If you have access to a pool, even leisure swimming is excellent for the body! My favourite tip is to record food in fat secret before eating it.

Your greatest 'tool' is your determination. Be proud. Sometimes we have to fall down, in order to get back up!
