Down a few more ounces to 216.2 after a 1000 calorie day consisting of half protein, some fats and very few carbs. Teleworking today due to the snowstorm, so will do a workout at the end of my fasting period and before my first meal. May get a bit more of a drop after that.
98.1 kg Lost so far: 49.4 kg.    Still to go: 5.1 kg.    Diet followed: 100%.

It's coming off, Bill! Proud of you! You must be working from home today. How many inches did you get? We are 13 degrees F now. It is flurrying but only about 1/2 inch so far.

Hey Bill - looks like you could be in for a nasty storm - stay safe and inside. Way to go on the loss - I measure the ounces too, makes it feel a little more successful!

Thanks, buddies! We got a few inches. Looks like the roads are going to be OK. But I'm happy working from home anyway! Have a great weekend.

Thanks again for the explanation on Mom's Journal. I'll have to show DH your website as he loves drag racing (we are poor people, yet there is always a project car in the garage - LOL). BTW - you are doing great losing those Christmas pounds.

Hey, you're doing GREAT! Still doing the IIFYM stuff too... so much higher calories than you had been doing, right? You're killing it, Bill! Keep on going!

Thanks, BuffyBear! At least you have a car! I spend enough for a race car on my websites... but I make back 'some' of the money! Hi Rob! Thanks, bro. I'm not all in on the IIFYM yet, but I did really concenrate on my protein and have gone relatively low carb for the past few days. For January, I'm trying to go right up to the line on the amount of fat that I can metabolize on a daily basis based on my energy expendature. That does allow me an additional 400-500 calories on average. If I went IIFYM all the way, I'd get yet another 500 per day. I will reassess at the end of January. I'm just a big science experiment! LOL. An update on my original entry. I just did 45 minutes of mild weight tranining at the end of my fast period. Did not lose another ounce, but all the other Tanita numbers changed from this morning. However, as I had not eaten yet, I am not recording them here. I will record my full pre-dinner evening weigh in. As noted earlier, I've begun alternating my daily treadmilll work with moderate weight lifting every other day. This is what was on tap for today: 30 reps each of nine different dummbbell workouts (a nice mix of all muscles) 50 squats (I really wondered if I'd be able to do these. I was surprised to find that the first 40 were pretty easy! But that's due to all the treadmill work I've done. I will have to add weight to this exercise) 50 crunches 20 pushups (man, I really have lost arm strength over the years. Got to fix...) 50 jumping jacks (just for a little cardio!) After a nice shower, I dived into 1.5 cups of plain greek yogurt with a scoop of Six Star whey protein powder, triple chocolate (with a teaspoon of Chia seeds). Let's see how that sits... got 7 more hours to chow down! Have a great weekend, everyone! Bundle up and be safe! Bill
