Being "on plan" eating for about 10 days has allowed me to lose "holiday weight" and stabilize in the "blue." I would for sure like to see that number right at goal or below again, but that will require real fat loss and will take some time. I am still struggling mightily to get myself back into lifting and generally working out like I know I should. I was so committed over the summer and into the fall even without going to the gym. I am fighting it so much. Perhaps getting one part of the equation (healthy and moderate eating) sorted out will help lead me back to feeling good enough to want to move more. The sun is shining today for the first time in.... too long. I'm going for a super long walk. I am so very happy to see the sun!

Hope you enjoy your super long walk Melissa! Also, does one "stay blue" within a couple of pounds of one's goal weight? It seems like you're doing very well even though you think you could work out more.

that helps me. when I start eating well it helps me to not want to waste that so the desire to use the fuel I'm putting in comes back. then working out helps me to desire to fuel properly to not burn garbage in a high octane machine. lol. it's a cycle. I ate all garbage over the last week or 2. great to see u blue.

Thank you, LC! From what I understand, the color is a measure of percentage of total weight loss. Confusing? 😁 For me, I am "blue" up to two pounds above "goal." For others it is different. #One, I totally get that cycle. So many things both emotionally and physically are interconnected. When I feel sad and discouraged... Not a lot goes well on any level. 🙄

Wish we could trade a bit- I'd give you a good knee and motivation to lift every day and you give me the motivation to keep the food in check!

We had a big storm last night but it's beautiful and sunny now too!!! There's less than 10 weeks until spring!!! We'll be moving our clocks ahead soon, and I already have Daffodils that are up about 2 1/2 inches!!! I think just picking one or two small goals to work on really helps. Like taking a 15 min walk every day, or eating 5 servings of veggies a day. When I'm feeling overwhelmed that's what works for me. Not to put alot of pressure on it. Also, not guilting myself into doing more. Keeping it to the minimum until that overwhelmed feeling is gone is great because then I don't fall into that all or nothing thinking.

Enjoy your sunshiny walk. I’ve been walking much more myself. I need the fresh air more than the sun and my choice if time to walk is always at night. So refreshing. I love the stars and moonlight. Reflecting off the snow it is actually very bright most nights 🌙 ✨

Melissa you are doing really well with what you're doing now. You will surely get to the rest of it when winter is over. ❤👍😊

Princess, we just need to divide and conquer! I just ate two delicious and fresh dounuts the older lad brought home from the store! Enjoyed every bite! 😁 Bearnoggin, we had the same storm! It was a crazy amount of water pouring out of the sky and running over ever gitch! The river I walk along was the most swollen I've ever seen, and getting there the traffic lights were out all over.i was so thankful to see the sun!!! Yes, just making little goals and stepping forward a bit each day is helpful. I am so much and all out of nuthin kind of gal. That is usually why I hurt myself. I have to decide some effort is enough sometimes I!

Thank you, wifey! I am so grateful I could get some sun. A simple sweatshirt was enough to stay warm, and getting to see the sun...☀️ Did I say I was out in the sun? ☀️Yes, the sun was what I needed! To be in the sun and feel the warmth... A touch of heaven!!! ☀️🤗

Thank you, Becky!!! ❤️It was so lovely to walk! I walked on the same connected trail you and I walked on, but just a few miles east of there along a little river. I'll post pictures later. ☀️ I can't wait until summer!!!! Yes, kawiener, it was perfect after all the wild weather last night! Did you get out in it at all? Or at least find a sunny window? 😁

Thank you, mermee! I know I have lost strength, but that isn't the same as losing muscle. I know it will come back. I've tried to keep my protein up and, I'm especially being careful of that now that I'm cutting calories more. My walk was a little over ten miles at a pretty good clip today, so I do feel my knee use is getting better, but... I was walking on the flat, so it isn't the same. We will find our stride again. I think I may decide I simply don't have to lift as heavy as I was. If I don't push quite as hard, thst doesn't mean I'll be in bad shape! 😁

I have a history of all or nothing too! We live on a hill and our neighbors have a big sink hole on the side of their yard. Landslides scare me! I'm glad we didn't lose power! We went on a small walk today too and it was quite alot warmer!!! The sun does do wonders for the soul!!! Glad you got out and enjoyed!!!

You are doing great even if you are taking it a bit slower than you are used to before your injury. You are an inspiration.
