Wow. Massive weight drop to 215.1 after a huge, day long happy hour yesterday. I'm a federal employee in DC and as you no doubt have heard, we were furloughed yesterday. My pals and I went out to a local BBQ place, had a nice lunch and then pitchers of margaritas through the afternoon. That regimen really got things moving within the bod and I had a major whoosh effect loss today.
97.6 kg Lost so far: 49.8 kg.    Still to go: 4.6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Losing 7.6 kg a Week

I have seen so many people say the same thing. They couldn't move the scale, they went out to eat and then they had a nice drop. Maybe it just kick starts the metabolism. Either way, great job!

Hey, that's great! Didn't know you were furloughed. Don't actually know what that means BUT drinking all afternoon sounds like a helluva a great way to lose weight! Congrats. :)

Thanks, Sarah. The US House of Representatives included language in their spending bill to defund the new Affordable Care Act that began to go into effect on October 1. The Senate removed that language and sent the bill back. The house added it again. The deadline was midnight on September 30 to get the bill into a law or the government ran out of money. That happened all many feds (not all) had to stay home because there is not money to pay us. We will go back after the wrangling over this is done and perhaps we will get back pay and perhaps not. This happened in 1995 and we got back pay. If the House loses this fight (which is expected) they are probably not going to be in a mood to authorize the back pay. So, here we are. I'm in a good position financially to take that hit, but many are not. I'm glad you are enjoying your vacation!
