Nice weigh-in at 223.3 although I got too busy at work to work out. At home now but still think I will take it easy tonight! Having a huge chicken breast and maybe I will treat myself to a few single malts! Have a great weekend!

Good morning! Hope you enjoyed your evening and did indeed have those few single malts. I am pleased for you that the alcohol doesn't cause a stall. I too haven't found my weight stalled with alcohol but I don't need the loss of calories, I would rather eat than drink, at least right now, today - lol. Have a great Saturday. I am sure you have lots of home type things to catch up on having been away for a while. How is your brother doing? And how is Emma settle back in to school? Hugs pal, I'll be back on later so will check up on you then. :)

Hi Isabel! Yes, I think the alcohol helps actually. Hit a surprising 220.6 this morning, so very pleased indeed! I need to check on my brother. Have not since I've been gone, although other sisters have. My one younger sister is in town as she is running a triathlon here in DC. Will go to see her compete tomorrow. I have to run to the drag strip today to interview a racing family as we are inducting them into our annual Hall of Fame at a special race next weekend. I always MC that and write the bios of the inductees, etc., so back to work in drag racing as well! Lots to do at work this past week as I have to brief our agency Chief Information Officer next week on our Section 508 status (accessibility of IT systems for disabled folks). I run that at our agency. Em is enjoying school, except she wants to drop her one geology class as the instructor seems to be an advocate for fracking and she is not! : ) Denise is busy with school and union stuff as well. It never ends! We might sneak a little break for a lunch out this weekend. Have a great one yourself and talk to you soon! bp

OMG, congrats on the weight loss but the OMG is for how busy you are! I hope you and Denise do get to sneak out for lunch. It's always hard to carve out 'couple' time when you are that busy. You have fingers in many pies my friend, thankfully those pies have no calories - lol. And I know what fracking mean !!!! Watched a documentary on the measurements of the British Isles that was redone using fracking. Very interesting. Not sure if I really 'get it' but it was definitely interesting. What is Em's major - is that the right question? What is she going to be when she graduates? So, enjoy your day. Hope you get lunch with your bestie this week-end. Glad the weight is down. Wow, I'm exhausted just thinking about all you have to do. Great to see you before I left for jean's. I have an easy day, physically, emotionally - not so much. It's very difficult at times to be with Jeannie. But then I get to come home and be with my bestie and all is well. Can't believe how close I feel to you, and we are only cyber buddues, and in such a short time. Hope that's okay. Cause I think you are awesome! Shucks.

I feel the same way. Lord help me, I find myself looking for the red letters at the upper right of FatSecret to see if you've commented. : ) I am very busy indeed with little time for friends, so it's great to have you up here. I'm enjoying it a lot. Em is a performance major for cello. She is quite good (as well you have to be as a performance major). But of course she has to take her academic subjects as well. She went to school full time this past summer and got them all knocked out except for one 'natural sciences' requirement. She chose Geology as she thought it would be fascinating to learn about the different types of rocks, etc. But she says her first few classes were basically strident lectures on the benefits of fracking. It then occurred to her that if you were going to make any money as a geologist, you likely would have to work for an oil or gas company. She is our little new age hippie (but pretty grounded), but this professor is a bridge too far for her. But she is almost at her deadline for switching classes. She wants to take a conducting class instead and do another natural science next semester or next year, but she needs to get a move on or suck it up and deal with it! I also have a son in the US Navy, who is stationed in Japan on a destroyer. He is enjoying the traveling, having just returned from Melbourne and Sydney (says he wants to retire there). Cheers on your travels today! bp

Glad we have a mutual fan club, I would hate to have hung that out there and been rejected! LOL. I am sure Em will get her crap together and change her classes in time. I thought she was a bit of a hippie, just got that impression but a new age hippie if she is grounded too. Her boyfriend looks like a good fit for her. And a son in the Navy? You must be very proud! I think that must be an interesting career, with all the travel involved but with the world in such a scary state all the time I am sure you are nervous for him a lot of the time. Thanks for sharing so much of your life. My life is really kinda boring in comparison but that's okay too, I can live adventures through you! I do have to get off this site, and get ready to go. I have an hour commute, into Toronto again, like I do every day to work. Thank goodness for iphone apps so I can 'play' on the train. I don't drive, I take a GO train, a high speed train that travels between 2 points, about 2 hours total from end to end. I am lucky I only have an hour commute, each way, some people travel the whole system. So, have a great day. Hope you get everything accomplished that you want to, and also find time to have lunch with your sweetheart (and hope your wife doesn't find out - lol) Hugs pal.
