Thank you, kind #One! I had a lousy night of very little sleep... The mind was just too busy dwelling on what I can't fix or control. I'm trying today to let go and put it all in the hands of the one who has the power and wisdom to handle what is far beyond me. The "serenity prayer" is constantly in my mind right now. This bike trail is just a couple blocks from where I take my daughter for treatment twice a week. I'm able to get three miles of a race walk or run (sometimes a combination), while I wait! 😁

Chris, it is just part of the Burke Gillman as it goes through Bothell! 😁

Can't wait for cooler weather here so I can hike at Red Rock or Mt Charleston. Almost cool enough... Enjoy your day!💕

Gorgeous! I think my daughter runs on that trail from the dorms past Gasworks park (not this quarter - boo covid - all her classes are online)... I didn't realize it was so long! I have been thinking about your daughter recently and hope she is getting a little bit of relief as time goes on.

Beautiful! I love trees and trails and trees on trails. :)

This is so beautiful, Melissa! It’s so amazing that you have access to such places where you live. I’m getting into running now and I honestly can’t imagine a nicer looking trail for pounding some pavement. With every step, just leave another oz of stress behind you and keep going forward. 💖

Thank you all! We are blessed to have this beautiful trail. Yes, Jazzy, this goes all the way through the U district around the top of the lake to Woodinville. It is about 18 miles into Bothell and then about at this location it becomes the Sammamish River Trail for an additional 10 miles. I've walked ten miles of it at a time, but I'd like to walk all 28 miles someday.

Diana, I'm already tired of long pants, sweaters, and goosebumps! I made a Costco run today, and no amount of "running" could get my stuff into the car without becoming absolutely saturated by the downpour. Good thing I didn't buy flour this time. It would now slowly be turning to cement in my pantry. Burrrrrrr! I hate the wet and dark and cold!

How about trails through trees, Princess? 😁 NewnameMM, it is a great trail for running. Because it mostly just follows the water, it is quite flat, which around here is a serious blessing indeed! Keeping moving does for sure help me feel better! I wish I had a running buddy. Too bad you are on the other side of the continent from me!

Thank you, Carol, ruthe, kattay, and Ireland! Beautiful places somehow feed the soul!

How I wish I was closer! I’d definitely be joining you on your runs, Melissa! When I run around my neighborhood, there are just tall buildings, houses, and stores. Lots of crazy drivers too. There’s never enough time to take a drive out to one of our parks here, so I just try and enjoy the area. Good background music helps drown out the street noise, people, and cars. You are so lucky to have such peaceful trails. 💖

Good gracious, newnameMM! I hope you keep an ear tuned to the traffic. That would be terrifying. Since my girl got hit by a car, I've been a lot more cautious and jumpy around vehicles! You be careful!!!! ❤️

Thank you Bill and JC! Chris, how far are you from the water??? I can't quite picture where you are. What is somewhere along the beach that is close to you I can use as a landmark? And, dear, seagulls have such good aim that they would not bother a mermaid with a new hairdo like they would a ginger bearded fellow! They wouldn't dare! 😁 Marymoor park is just a couple miles upriver from this spot! Close!
