Debbie Cousins's Journal, 04 Aug 20

2nd day with no loss. Kinda surprised, but not upset about it. I know I'll continue to lose if I continue to do what I've been doing. Only had 1,433 Calories yesterday instead of my "normal" 2,000. I wasn't craving food as much as I had been on other days. I never really get "hungry" because they removed my vegas nerve when I had my gastric bypass surgery 16 years ago. But, even though I'm not hungry, I WANT food very often!

I wish I only ate when hungry.I eat and sleep. It's hard for me to get motivated to do anything. I'd like to accomplish something each day. I look at what needs to be done and I only look.

Tomorrow is another day and it may show results that you are looking for. It is all up to you and how much effort you have put into towards your goals. Small steps each day. "To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did". Have faith in yourself. Just never give up.

I know where you are coming from. I can feel stuffed and still crave more. I think this is called "habit" or maybe even addiction. I think I have it mostly under control but it is still a struggle, especially just before I retire for the night. Hang in there, you'll do it. Blessings.

I know...food just tastes so good I can’t help but WANT more even though I’m full. It doesn’t help that I’m a pretty good cook, lol! Last night I really wanted to eat everything in the house because we have some good stuff! So I ate a plate full of carrots, celery and radishes. The crunch actually satisfied. I salted the celery, so I had that craving satisfied, and I ate until I felt bloated. Then I wanted chocolate! So I made a cup of good coffee and savored it, and it actually did the trick.

I feel everyone's pain! In my "through the Bible in a year" reading, yesterday, Paul was saying in Romans basically, "What I want to do I DON'T do, and what I don't want to do, I DO." Thankfully, I'm in a good place RIGHT NOW, but I still have to be careful to not stray from the straight and narrow path. Made a DELICIOUS-SMELLING casserole this morning - Keto friendly! After we've all "weighed in" our opinions, I'll post the recipe to share it with you. Here's a teaser ... "Stuffed Baked 'Potato' Casserole"
