Thanks, my friends! I'm working on my buffer today, so I can have a guilt free reward day soon. 🙂

I like how you said you’re working on your buffer- this is what I need to focus on! Feels like I don’t have one yet.

I like to have a 10 pound buffer, Groatmeal. My posted goal weight of 182.4 is the maximum I can weigh and still have a normal BMI. Staying 10 pounds under that gives me wiggle room so that when I reward myself with a treat, I'll still have a normal BMI. It also gives me room so that when I go to the doctor I'll still weigh in at a normal BMI no matter how heavy the clothes are I happen to be wearing that day.

10 pound buffer is goals! That sounds exactly right to me. Basically my plan is to maintain over the summer and then drop another 5-10 in the fall (my gym does a big fall challenge). You are inspiring!

So great, Lonnie. I'm out of the "blue" today because I have no buffer. 😢 I've tried to figure out what to do. I guess I'll just keep trudging along trying my best to keep "close." And, I didn't comment on someone else's post, but I wanted to say that loose skin is a badge of honor for all you have accomplished. I also suspect that things may tighten up more for you in time.. You dropped quickly because of your absolute dedication to getting the job done, but your body probably is just going to take a bit longer to adjust. Love the skin yor in!!!!! I

Groatmeal!!! What happened to your 140 perfection!? 😁 You don't need to lose 10 pounds, dear... Probably not even 5!❤️ But, I get it... I'd sure love to be 5 lower so my "goal" is more maintainable. Your 140 is my dream! 😁

Thank you, Melissa! 💗 I love your idea of thinking of my loose skin as a badge of honor. That's how I'm going to think about it too, my secret badge. I think there's already been some improvement, and thankfully when I'm dressed no one can tell. I'm sorry you fell out of the blue. I'm confident you'll get back to blue shortly. What I've been doing to stay blue is going fully back on my diet, doing exactly what worked when I was in the losing phase of my diet, until I have my buffer back. Maybe that'll help you.

Oh Melissa- yes I’m always struggling to stay content with where I’m at. My husband keeps telling me to stick with my current weight as I get too obsessive about it. But I would like to be just that little bit leaner 🤏 so I dunno! Btw I am shorter than you so 140 probably looks pretty different on me compared to you! I think you are looking very lean and fit! Sorry Lonnie for taking over your thread 😉

No worries, Groatmeal! I love it! 🙂

I love the community when we can just park on a friend's post and have a chat! It reminds me of standing on a neighbor lawn to talk to the next neighbor over! Lonnie has a nice yard!!! Anyway, my hubby and family says the same, Groatmeal! I don't want my life to revolve around my weight... And maybe that is why we want to be a bit leaner? So we can drift up and down as the days go without freaking out that the color changed on a bar!? This is such a journey of self discovery for sure! I'm so glad to have friends on it with me! ♥️

Set the bar low and smash it? Or in this case high. Maybe I'll put mine back at 160. Lol.
