Didn't weigh in this morning, because we had bad thunderstorms and I awoke at 1am. Went ahead and got up and got my Bible reading done, and caught up on my Fat Secret stuff. Had the grandkids yesterday for six hours, but I won't have them today, so maybe I can catch up on some tidying around here. My living room and dining room are strewn about with pool clothes and towels as well as the tools we're using in our continued brick-cutting effort. After buying a $15 masonry blade, a $42 blade and a $34 blade - all of which BROKE on the first brick - we finally found that the $2+ masonry blades from Amazon will cut 3 paving stones before they are worn down to nubs. I ordered ten of them to hopefully get this job done sometime before summer is over! We are only cutting 3 stones a day (but we've missed the past three days because my husband hasn't felt well), but we're making slow progress. We've really been enjoying the pool, and I'm so glad that I took swift action in ordering it, even before a decision had been made by the community pool about whether they would be opening or not (they chose NOT). I see people in my community asking if there is ANYWHERE they can buy an above-ground pool right now, because they're all sold out! My little one (4) has gotten much braver in the past couple days. Now, he jumps off the ladder and his head goes underwater before his floatie arms cause him to resurface. At first, he didn't like water in his eyes, but now he has gotten used to it. My brother drowned when he was 11, so I've always REALLY wanted my kids and grandkids to be good swimmers!
