Liv Lite's Journal, 20 May 20

Okayyyy I decided to be brave and finally post my weight! (Thank you to the fellow FSers who honestly admit to weight gains - you inspire me!) I ended 2019 at 275 (slightly up from lowest of 274). Jan - 278-282 after frightful -40C cold snap & felt blah (winter blues eating). Feb - dealing with my dad's terminal illness & death, ended month at 285. I have gone up to 292 after binges, but mostly I have stuck to 285. Last weekend, I was 288 after sausage, popcorn, rice, cookies & chocolate. I am totally in Toss-Declutter mode this rainy week, so if I don't do quite as much cardio this week, I am gonna feel fantastic with a cleaner space!!!!! Wooohoooo cleaning! There are no real excuses with my weight gain: I just didn't consistently follow a healthy diet. I didn't do the work. I am embarrassed about the gain & even moreso for not losing it past 3 months. Deep breath. Moving onto brighter, clearer, and cleaner days! :)

Such a hard journey, we all judge ourselves so harshly. You've made so much progress and you'll do it again. One day at a time!

I've been where you are at with a diet that didn't work...how many times. Now following a keto lifestyle..making different meals like never before. My peak was 303. There was a point where I would hace celebrated being 282. But that was before osteoarthritis in my right knee, diagnosis of fractured vertebrae in my upper back from many yrs ago (1991 injury but my back pain became more consequential after I was xrayed & found out it was not something that was fixable like a muscle injury). We are with you on your journey, all sharing & no judgements

I am in the same boat Liv. I bounce back and forth with the same 5 pounds. I have gained 35 since over the winter and now I'm just tired of dieting.

I get really tired of dieting too! Fortunately I am staying within 5 lbs of my goal weight. I vowed I would never weigh over 200 again. It has taken me a lifetime to get there. I agree, that I want to eat anything I want whenever I want, but that can't happen.

Hi @Cole212: easy way to measure quantities? I use my kitchen scale to weigh most everything. Hope that helps? (I don't speak French)

You go. Embrace where you are and go from there. When you declutter you can also purge the kitchen.
