Always so, so consistent! I wanted to ask... How is your sister? Is she feeling better now?

Melissatwa. Thank you for asking. She has survived the virus but is extremely debilitated. They tested her on Thursday for the virus and still waiting for the results. if she is finally negative I am bringing her to my house for a couple of weeks and rehab her myself. People who have been on long term steroids do not clear the virus as readily as others. For my sister, this has been week six. Her nutritional state is deplorable. The food they feed people in many of these places you wouldn’t feed to your dog. I’ll keep you posted.

Oh dear... That is good and bad. I am glad she is stable. I am sure it will be such a relief to be out of there and with someone who cares so much. She will be in the most excellent hands.

My sister finally tested negative! I’m picking her up tomorrow and taking her to my house for a couple of weeks. This is where I become the drill instructor. A couple days of just getting getting use to being in a safe place and then the hard work begins. Healthy food, a physical therapy program I will put together after I assess where she is at and some human contact and socialization. And, a shower and a hair wash after six weeks. But first she has to be able to negotiate the stairs with some help. A lot of work to do just to get her to a baseline.

Oh that is good news! Thank you for letting us know. I am sure there is a lot of work ahead for you both. No one I can imagine is more capable than you of helping her through this time. She is blessed beyond measure to have you. I will be praying for you both. She has gone though so much sadness and loss lately.
