Didn't do my walking OR drink my water yesterday. I think it was that I thought I "deserved" to be able to drink Diet Coke all day after having kept my grand daughter for five days. I tend to want to "reward" myelf with bad things. Yesterday's quirk weight loss was back up this morning. Down 1-1/2 pounds yesterday. Back UP 1 pound this morning. 228.5. Last year I was 171.2 around this time! I'm not even going to cipher how many pounds of a gain that is, but I know it is over 50 pounds! SIGH. I'm not expecting anyone to feel sorry for me. All this has been through my own doing. I just don't seem to be able to muster the willpower to go back onto Keto (which I KNOW WORKS FOR ME), even though I KNOW I would lose weight quickly if I was following it.
103.6 kg Lost so far: 13.8 kg.    Still to go: 35.6 kg.    Diet followed: Poorly.

Maybe if you cannot do keto right now you can do something else? There is calorie counting or other plans with names and structures that may fit where you are right now. You really like fruits and fibers perhaps a low fat diet for a change up?

Debbie, have you ever thought that if you love Diet Coke so much, that you shouldn’t give it up? Drink half of your water and go for your walk. Then enjoy a Diet Coke. Drink the rest of your water and drink a Diet Coke. If you chose to drink Diet Coke you should not feel guilty but really enjoy it.

or set a smaller amount of water to drink before each Diet Coke.

I've tried "rewarding" myself with Diet Coke for drinking water @ginger dog - the problem is that I'll decide that I'm ONLY going to have one 12-oz can a day, and I soon end up back to a 2-liter a day. I KNOW that water is actively GOOD for me and Diet Coke is actively BAD for me, but it doesn't make me want water any more or want Diet Coke any less. @liv001, I feel like almost ANY diet will work, if you WORK the diet. For some reason right now, I just don't have any "want to" at all. I want to weigh less, but I have zero motivation to put in the work that is necessary to make that possible. Today, I have basically been eating ALL day. I've had almost a whole (small) bag (8 servings) of Honey Nut Chex Mix, two servings of Tapioca pudding, a 2-pack of Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls, a ham and cheese sandwich with BBQ potato chips, an English Muffin with butter, peanut butter and jelly on it. Before the day is over, I will probably eat at least one more serving (of the two servings left) of tapioca pudding and possibly a small bowl of Cherry Chocolate Chunk ice cream. Dinner tonight is a nice homemade salad with a Homestyle Chicken chicken breast cut up onto it, with Buttermilk Ranch dressing. Not too bad if that was JUST a meal, and NOT a meal sandwiched in between 10 snacks! I'm not nearly as optimistic as I HAVE been about my future in the weight-loss arena.

Maybe you should "earn" your Diet Coke? Like one can per mile actually walked. No exceptions, no partials, no carry over credits.
