Week Average 110 lb, calories 2000

Doing good. Had a nice weekend with family visits and a lot of food. But that is what I train for. LOL. All good. I was due for some feasting.

As it is the 9th of February I have been on my diet for exactly 17 months, 6 of them maintenance. after 6 months of maintenance would weightloss be stabilized? I think I read that number somewhere among others. Research indicate that people who have WLS start gaining after 12 to 18 months so I guess one always have to stay alert.

Cold this morning, brrr, but I plan for getting some yoga and track running in some time. I feel like fewer people are visiting the Rec centre now because of the Covid-19 even if no cases confirmed anywhere around here. More room for me.

Liv the gym was pretty deserted yesterday. I just kept my sanitized paper towels loaded and wiped everything before and after use.

Enjoy the gym. COVID-19 is being blown out of proportion by our lovely media and others. Wash your hands with soap and water. Keep your hands away from your face. If you're elderly with pre-existing conditions, stay away from others. Stop panicking. Even with the current flu vaccine, the number of deaths from the flu between Oct. 1, 2019 and Feb. 1, 2020 was 30,000. Let's keep things in perspective. Sorry, liv001, didn't mean to use your positive post to stand on my soapbox.

So far my gym hasn't seen a decrease in people - at least when I am there. But there aren't any "reported" cases of coronavirus in my county. But there was a death in a county about 50 miles away. Don't know how they know how many people have it when tests aren't really available. Schools are closing in some counties for a week. My gym is full of older people (I think the average age is about 75) during the week when I go - 8-10am. But everyone seems healthy. They probably worry more about me coughing due to allergies. Liv, you are doing so good with maintaining! I am not even stepping on the scale right now because I have not been following my weight loss plan. I need to stop going to the grocery store next door to the gym!

Many unknown with C19 . I do not want to make light of it. Hopefully everyone is trying to stay healthy and in good shape as that helps if it should arrive in the community. Thanks for thoughts about maintenance. I would not say that I am always on a very strict plan. I like some variation of things...

Liv- agree with you on all the unknowns about this epidemic. I have witnessed first hand how the change in health care has changed over the past 10-20 years. Many can not afford to go to the doctor and self diagnose. Doctors more reluctant to prescribe antibiotics only results in fewer people going to the doctor because they say go home and rest. So people just stay home, but more often than not go to work or school because their employer does not either have or compensate for sick days. Working parents are forced to either stay home or not with sick kids but then go to work and pass a virus to their coworkers. So many people self diagnose themselves as having sinus problems or allergies when it is a cold or the flu. I personally think this epidemic may have been around longer than may realize and both the public and medical profession have been out of touch. I think it is serious since their is no vaccine. In my state a 1,000 people have been tested. Of those 100 have tested positive. Ten have died. Those are not very good odds since in a state with millions of people thinking they have the flu, allergies or sinus. I am being cautious and hope others are as well. All the best to you !

Well done on your continued maintenance (and I saw you had a new all time low). You are definitely an example and inspiration to me. I loved 'this is what we train for'. It is training. And it kicks in when you least expect it.
