Debbie Cousins's Journal, 16 Jan 20

Yesterday, I broke this year's record by walking 1.4 miles. It was misting outside when I drove to BJ's, so I walked down EVERY aisle in all three sections of the store. That gave me 6/10 of a mile. It wasn't enough to make up for yesterday's rainy day, so I still went outside and walked around the property and then ran a couple of more errands where I would have to walk. With today, my 3-day average is over 1 mile a day (my 7-day average last week was .64 mi/day.

I'd like to share something with y'all. Since re-reading "The Secret," and having just read "The Power," "The Magic," and now almost finished with "What I Learned From the Secret," (all by Rhonda Byrne), I have become impressed with setting a HUGH goal of being able to take an Alaskan Cruise this July. My ex-boyfriend paid for my honeymoon with my husband, but we have never had a 2nd (or 3rd-36th) honeymoon or even taken more than two days vacation (only a couple hours away from home). My birthday is June 20th, and I'm asking and expecting my all-powerful God to provide ALL of the money needed for the cruise, airfare to Seattle Washington (from whence it departs), hotel accommodations the night before departure and the day of arrival, AND money to pay off our current credit card debt, plus buy a van and a freezer! For ME, it's a bit ask, but for God it's probably even less than He WANTS to give me!

Please join me in generating excitement for the cruise by sharing your wonderful cruise experiences!

P.S. - It's a Christian cruise with lots of wonderful Southern Gospel musical groups that we love! I'm also claiming my ideal weight of 165 by cruise date!!!

I've never been on the cruise, but I've been to Alaska numerous times (my older son has lived there for about thirty years) and it is one of the most beautiful, unspoiled places I have ever seen. Hope you achieve all your goals.

We cruised to Alaska once, it was fun. Lot's of activities to do, a work out room and a lot of space for walking. It even had a little track. It was fun to workout on the ocean. The food is what you have to watch out for because it is so yummy!

@liv001, yup, he paid for us to go to the Poconos, AND he paid an extra $60 each for all the bridesmaids dresses when the ones we ordered didn't show up and we had to get new ones, AND he sent a couple hundred dollars a month to me and my husband for the first couple years after we were married. I HAVE been fortunate to have some wonderful people in my life through the years!

Awesome goal & totally doable. Went on my Alaskan Cruise June 2015 and loved it. However we started putting aside money the September before so that come March we could buy our tickets. We had to wait until closer to June to get our plane tickets, but what a relief to have it all paid for and not those last minute stressors.

Great plan you had, Jeannie. I'm COMPLETELY open to God providing the money earlier than I'm requesting!!! Thankfully, He has perfect timing and it will be here just when we need it.

Wow, I was just looking at your weight history. You have not had an increase since Dec 29th. Everything you are doing is working. Keep it going.

Not Christian as you know BUT I am so jealous! I love that type of music! I have a lot of old-time hymns that I sing all the time because I just love the way they feel bursting out of me! You are going to have so much fun!!
