Orly Girl's Journal, 03 Jan 20

Trying to get back on track after at least a month of chocolate and chips binges, and generally poor but fast eating habits. I've gotten better the last few days by eating a few well balanced meals, meaning cooking lots of fish, veg, and stir fry type meals thrown over cups of greens. Today I was starting to feel some hunger and instead of mindlessly eating chocolates, I made myself eat wholegrain steel eats, with frozen berries and topped with no fat yogurt. So I have to be proud of myself for getting out of my funk, and making at least half a day of healthy balanced options. I'm still eating chocolates, I think I have a bit of a sugar thing going, but I'm not eating chocolates for meals anymore. Ho, Ho, Ho! It's been a quiet and lonely vacation, and I've enjoyed the rest, but I'm looking forward to getting back into my busy routine at work. I was shocked to see how low my daily steps are on my fitbit when I'm off work. I get at least 10,000 steps by 2pm when I work. I'm backing to taking my Vitamin D, and fish oil again, as I do slump in December. Hoping for more bright winter days when the sun reflects off the snow, less short overcast rain, freezing rain days. Happy 2020 everyone, let's practice mindful eating and health again.

Thanks Moufette 123, I've had 7 months of being consistent so I'm proud of that. I I've had about 6 weeks of poor eating though, so now I'm getting back to it. It was sort of planned though, so no biggie. I know this is for life, to keep my triglycerides and cholesterol down. I hate to think how much it must have raised over eating so much sugar and bad fat. I'll be re-tested in a few months, so got to get those numbers down again!
