WHICH SCALE DO YOU TRUST???

The weigh in is from my partners scale. I have been using this one for the last few years. Actually the weight on it was slightly lower but I don't record it until it has stuck for at least 3 days.

On Saturday I got my old scale. Its a WW scale. Very pretty. I checked and I am about 4.5 kg lighter on it. So is my partner. I think it was 5kg for him. But he was weight in the hospital a week ago and his weight there was in line with mine!?!?

Schmettererlinge I use Boots scales cost a pound but only weigh in every two weeks, but at least they should be accurate.

Put a bag of sugar on each, or something that you definitely know the weight of and see what they both say.

Caroline, good idea! My local Drs Surgery has a “Pod” where you can go and check your own BP and weigh yourself. It’s linked to control hub and is constantly recalibrated. Quite an innovation for a wee Village in the middle of nowhere. Bugger is that it sends all the results to your Gp! Always make sure I’ve lost before I use it!!

I tried it with my kettlebells. My partners scale showed both 0.5 kg heavier and mine showed what it should weigh. Still doesn't explain the 4.5kg, although I am at least 8.5 times heavier than my lightest Kettlebell. Oh I don't know. I think I keep going until my favourite trousersuit fits comfortable again!!!

Hi, Schmetterlinge, I got obsessed with weighing myself, it was driving me bonkers! So I only do it once a fortnight or so. In between times I used my clothes as a guid. It’s a good idea to use your trousersuit, the scales are just a number. Your body could be changing and the scales won’t necessary show that, muscle weighing more than fat etc. I’m sure you know that anyway. I won’t say good luck, I’ll say stick with it, you don’t need luck 👍
