You’re doing great. Just keep plugging away. Today I’m back in the groove after 3 days of holidaying.

it was good you planned ahead though! There are just too many goodies this time of year

Eh probably just water fluctuations. Agree on the upper limit though as I think 1800 is about my upper limit for maintaining but it’s just a guess based on how my body responds on the scale.

Like you, my strategy is a pre-holiday, fall diet - it really helps with the winter over eating blues . . .

You didn’t gain 2 lbs in a day because you ate 2000 calories. Weight will go up and down depending on a lot of factors. Hang in there and tweek appropriately!

I know exactly how you feel. I gained 3lbs over the weekend thanks to the holiday festivities beginning. I’m sure/hoping it’s just water retention from all the salty foods and will lose it plus some by this coming weekend.

I agree with love2educate - takes longer to gain/lose 2 lbs - something salty or inflammation.

did you drink alcohol? i find that causes quick gain for me....water weight

Weight is holding... so no fluke... I was probably eating too much that last week of November. I think just as with losses... gains can just suddenly show up like a reverse whoosh. So I now know that around 2100 cals is my upper limit.

Thanks everybody for responding and supporting. You are great! I am not overly concerned as long as I am not lying to myself or my food journal. And I am not (at this time) ! I upped my food intake every month since June to see how high I could go and I think I have figured it out. I am not a bottomless pit apparently.

I think it’s a great method- you took your time to figure out a good maintenance WOE for yourself!

It's very unlikely that you took 2lbs in a day. Maybe it's more that what you ate made you bloated ? Water and inflammation can weight a lot on the balance !

Well the weight is there. Maybe I am a fluke of nature. or your theory is wrong

I know you'll correct it. You've been on the mark for a while.
