I've got to get back on track! I've been sucking chocolates, a lot of chocolates because I'm feeling deprived with my new braces and can't chew. My digestion is off too, and I feel like I'm eating hotel food when I'm on vacation because it's all soft foods and I miss my roughage! I simmered some peppers and onions yesterday so I can grab spoonfuls of this when I miss my veggies. It takes so long to eat!! food like granola, crushed nuts don't taste good anymore because I can't crush them into juice with my molars, so I have to just swallow it whole like it's a pill, no flavour.

I'll come around, but I tend to only eat when I'm famished because it takes so long to floss and get stuff out of my brackets, then I get frustrated. I've never been a soup person, but I might have to relinquish myself to soup for some in between meals to carry me through to dinner.

So all in all, I'm off track. Gotta get my groove back! I miss healthy food!

I remember when I had braces on, I missed gum and gummies myself the most, and I went from hard tacos to only soft. And never went back. 😝 You’ll get a groove that works again, it just takes some getting used to.

Nut butter is a great substitute-they have almost every one out there. Almond is my favourite. And they now have healthy (no sugar) peanut butter at a decent price. Good on toast, or with apples and bananas!
