Well, I gained five pounds this week. I've found that ANY diet program only works if you DO it! This past week, I didn't do anything I was supposed to do. BUT, if I can gain 5 pounds in a week, I can also LOSE 5 pounds in a week. That is my goal for this week - actually, I'd like to lose SIX pounds!

I'm feeling a little more optimistic this morning. I'm out of Diet Coke, so I'm drinking WATER for the first time in about a week! I'm going to try to get in 48 ounces today! I'll probably be going out to do a bit of grocery shopping, which will give me at least a little exercise. I've been THINKING about walking around our property. It is 10 acres, and walking around the perimeter is 1/2 mile. With this nice COLD weather, it has been ever so quietly calling my name for several days now. My hesitance was that I was eating so poorly that it wouldn't have made any difference. That, plus the fact that my knees are in terrible shape again after gaining THIRTY pounds! BUT, the best thing for them is to exercise and get this extra weight off - then they'll start feeling better again.

My best friend is coming over this morning, and we are going to make her favorite Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. BUT, I'm only going to put nuts in three for me. If they don't have nuts in them, I'm able to resist, so I won't end up eating half a batch!

Off to make a nice healthy breakfast (not the English muffin with butter, peanut butter and jelly I've been having every day lately). One meal at a time!

Oh I wish I was master of a property that sounds so nice to survey. Walking around the perimeter will certainly help you burn off the calories especially if you do it more than once! Diet not good bad for the teeth as well, water much better, this coming from a hypercirte who drinks Stella! My knees give me pain too but I keep telling myself to ease the pain is to lose weight, short term pain long term gain. Keep the chin up Paul

I do like the walking idea. Exercise is always a good choice.
