Another day of fasting until dinner with the exception of protein drinks, got me down another .4 to 218.2.
99.0 kg Lost so far: 48.4 kg.    Still to go: 6.0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Hey man, what was this pseudo-fasting or mock-fasting I believe I read in one of your posts the other day?

Hi Chris! It’s the fasting mimicking diet. Comes from Dr. Valter Longo and his book the longevity diet. Basically five days of vegetables and nuts at an average calorie intake of 800. It’s supposed to approximate the effects of fasting without actually going without food.

I lost about 6 pounds doing it. Went from 226 to 218 from 10/26 to 11/01. I usually do it for the last five days of the month if my calorie average for the month is higher than my target.

My dirty little secret is that I never get hungry anymore, Chris. I am ready to eat by dinnertime, but I do not have hunger pangs during the day (unless I eat something earlier now and then). There is no willpower involved, just habit.
