I didn't have the best couple days... It is so easy to slip and such hard work to stay steady. I feel sometimes that I will never truly find my balance... The days and years ahead seem so daunting, but I'm trying to focus on just today. I can make good choices today. And, maybe in the tomorrows to come I can be like you. 👣

Melissatwa— don’t even think about the future. Today is all that matters right now. You have to keep in mind that once you conquer this moderation/portion control beast you can eat almost anything that you want. Nothing is forbidden. Diabetics and people with other medical issues— that is a different issue. But for most of us it is just making the better choices most of the time so that we can enjoy the delicious things once in a while but in a controlled manner. You can do this. I have worked with many people on this issue— they all succeeded, non ever gained the weight back and some of them have done well for 30+ years..YOU CAN DO THIS.

Thank you so much, Kenna, for taking the time to encourage us! The "one day at a time" is something I really have to keep in mind. I spent a lifetime learning bad habits, so replacing them takes time and commitment... I've got both, so I'm hoping it will become a more automatic response someday to make "the better choices."
