Debbie Cousins's Journal, 10 Jun 19

Been a good week! Want to increase my exercise this week. It rained every day last week, and I didn't even want to go out in it to go to Walmart to walk. Very dreary. This week will be better, but the following one is calling for the rain and thunderstorms again, so I need get outside and WALK some! I may also try to go to the pool some in the late afternoons - because it doesn't open until 4:30 until the 15th. After that, I'll be able to go in the morning or early afternoon, which I'm more likely to do! I like my new face mask, because I hate getting water into my eyes or nose, and it lets me breathe more naturally with it being all one piece. Well, that's enough rambling for this morning. Here's to a new week full of victories for all of us!

Ok Debbie, looking good. I'm up this morning, but gonna work hard this week to get down to where you are!

Thanks @Dennymau and YOU CAN DO THIS, @Pixie68. I just realized I was down a total of 7.2 pounds for the week! (From 184 down to 176.8) I have 11.8 pounds left to get to my next goal of 165. If I lose just under 3 pounds a week between now and July 8th, I will have achieved my goal by the end of the Swimsuit Slimdown #2 challenge! I think I can actually DO this! Hoping (and praying) that when I go OFF-WOE for my anniversary tomorrow and my birthday on 6/20 that I am able to get right back on track the next morning!

I like your attitude... very upbeat about the swimming and a week full of victories. Had your muffin on the pontoon the other day along with a diet ginger ale to avoid the margaritas and snacks the others had. Victory!

Since you have had so much inclement exercise weather, do you have a back up plan for exercise in the home? Maybe an exercise tape or a routine you do? Your description of your plan seems weather dependent. I would hate to not get in my exercise due to events (like the weather) that are out of my control.

Have a good day Debbie

@HCB, you couldn't have "poorer form" than I do! I didn't even learn to tread water until LAST YEAR! It's never too late. I had a friend give me a little instruction last year on some different strokes, and I watched a few online videos.

@59Carol, I have my physical therapy exercises I can (and should) do every day. I also have a You Tube yoga video that someone suggested. It is great for someone completely new to Yoga, as am I. When I go to the Super Walmart or BJ's, I sometimes walk down ALL the aisles to get in exercise.

Sounds like you have a plan in mind for the inclement weather. Good for you. When there is a plan then we don't get stymied by obstacles like weather!

Go to your TV guide and find some of those early morning exercise programs and record them. There are many available here in SoCal, maybe in your area as well.

Praying his surgery goes well, @Holygirl57, and that you are at peace through it all. Speedy recovery! God's got this!
