Liv Lite's Journal, 09 Jun 19

I did have grand intentions for this first week in June! LOL Well, I started with the idea of "just a bit of fish & chips" on the 1st and was stricter the following day. Then Monday I went to the movies (Godzilla 3D) with my measured out peanuts & cheese. But....my friend presented me a big bag of candy! Oh-oh toffee, liquorice, and chocolate. It started that night with that bag of candy. A few toffees. Next day, chocolate to start the day. I didn't feel crazy, in a full binge frenzy; still ate real food. The anxiety of an unpleasant medical procedure on Thursday, I decided I could "eat anything I wanted afterwards". I ate a Teen Burger in a park. Quietly, calmly and a big deal since I hate eating in public. I ate almost a whole frozen pizza later, since I would "eat clean" on Friday. I ate half the 1.5l of Oreo ice cream on Friday. Yesterday, I ate the rest of the container with 2 bananas. And added a bag of Cheezies. The most interesting part of this story is: I feel peaceful, calm and know I will be okay. I just overate; not in a rage or with shame nor sadness. It was more like a reaction to "diet fatigue". Yes, I gained weight. It's temporary. I am not a horrible person because I ate lots of crappy food. The food was blah and I didn't crave any of it. It was just 8 days of not eating only what my body needs. I will love myself back on track this week. That's my Sunday sharing! :)

Next weigh-in: Monday, June 17 - what can I accomplish in 8 focused days, with maximum effort? :)
June 17 update: down 8.2! which is really only 2 pounds more but yayyyyy!!!!
137.9 kg Lost so far: 23.1 kg.    Still to go: 2.8 kg.    Diet followed: Poorly.

Thank you @Liv001! I was hesitant to post this because it's rather embarrassing but it is the truth as me with an eating disordered brain. I am happy I didn't hate myself for eating unnecessary junk food! I ate it, it's done, it's a new day. As the saying goes: "Progress, not perfection."

I never dreamed I would be openly discussing my eating disorder/food addiction in a public forum LOL - I do it to maybe help someone else who is struggling. We are not alone. Hugs, everyone! You gotta live a little and eat what you like and want. I know we are all here with a weight goal, but it doesn’t matter in the end. We are all gonna die and I’d rather go enjoying life and eating what I want and like here and there rather than restrict and deprive myself. Don’t worry about the set back. We are all human. You go get it girl!

Liv Lite, how are you doing? I had an overindulgence night but back on track. Scale hasn't moved upwards so taking that as a Win so far.

Two days left for Maximum Effort Weigh In!!!! It feels more "modest effort" in regards to exercise so far but really feel on track diet-wise. Make this a healthy weekend! It's about moving forward, not being perfect, April; this is a lifestyle not a prison sentence LOL. Enjoy life! :)
