Steven Lloyd's Journal, 30 Mar 19

Weight and body fat % still on the lower end of my target window...so no change in recorded set weight.

More activity this month so calorie intake is a bit higher to keep up, still finding that roughly a daily 350 calorie on paper average "deficit" keeps me able to maintain/grow my lean muscle and fuel current activity levels.

My first outdoor bike ride (32 miles + 1000 ft.of climbing) was a bit over a week ago with a second ride planned latter today.

However, it's still wintery in the mountains so yesterday myself and a very good and dear friend got together to do one more ski day. He's 61 but you would never know it, he still regularly does 10 plus one arm push ups (both sides) and lots of pull ups, we have WAY TOO MUCH FUN when we're skiing together. :-)

👍🏽👍🏽. Question for you. How many calories are you allocating a day??

Thanks Wifey, as I have said before, pictures really don't do the mountain scenery any justice. Ya Mike, not much cardio effort yesterday, but totally trashed the legs and very sore knees...today's ride will be a zone 1-2 easy flush ride. Wow is right Dboza... Thanks MC, we've been skiing, golfing, etc. together and great friends for over 38 years...we are aweome skiers whose skiing ability is only bested by our modesty (wink, wink, tongue in cheek...)

Nehiyaw, sorry for the long reply....you can check out my food log over the last months or years, my calorie allocation per day and per month varies quite a bit and really depends on social events, my activity, travel plans, injuries, etc. For me, if I am not active I would guess I would be maintaining my current body fat % and weight on 1900 to 2100 calories a day even though Fat Secret says I should be losing 1/2 pound per week on 2300 calories. Note, my metabolism is pretty efficient with a resting heart rate in the mid to high forties...I constantly work at keeping it efficient with almost daily endurance and resistance training as some of my buddies here on FS know through other data sources....also note I don't stay that active to maintain/lose weight or eat more (although those are awesome side benefits), mainly just to stay healthier and better enjoy some of my favorite activities with friends and family.

Thank you. I’m going to look at your food log. What a great heart rate. Wow. Hope I can be as fit as you one day!!

You and your many friends are great examples of adults making their exercise fun.

Thnx JP and SW...We have a saying up here in Canada and applicable anywhere when things get interesting..."Hold my beer and watch this..."

LOL! You're right, it is a good saying for us all. What do your wives do while you two are out and about having fun?

Hey B, half the time they're with us skiing (that is a ton of fun, more social, not as extreme). When we're apart they find things to do that are fun and it's always nice when we get back together.
