Oops 😬 I guess I consumed more Cals than I burned. It’s too hard to figure out specific Cals in all those “homemade” foods!!!
Time to go back to canned food?
Haha 😂

I can’t tell if your really worried about not being able to count cals at home, but a scale would be a good investment if you are. Canned food can have so much salt 🧂

One of the bonuses I've found from logging my food is that my meals have become very simple. I use to do complicated recipes, but now, the more basic the ingredients are, the more appealing.

My wife makes a lot of soup & adds protein. I usually forget to include those extra Cals from that ingredient.

Protein is pretty easy. Strips of meat, typically equals ounces. Liquid is consommé, add approximate veggies, and you’re there! Any pasta or other heavy carbs in your soups?

i actually count and measure my ingredients as im making meals (3 carrots, 4 potatoes, 2 tablespoons of butter) i estimate mostly but it helps me keep track when im spooning the final product onto my plate.

It is difficult to calculate homemade anything. However, I still believe that homemade is better for us than canned and/or ready made food.
