Weight staying the same, more or less! I have not been limiting myself - eating too many snack things, too much at meal times. I know what I need to do. Maybe this week?

I think I need to get some exercise beyond walking at work. Some days in the gym might assist my attitude towards watching what I eat.

Been bad at planning - spending a lot of time cleaning though!

My daughter and I are off to vacation tomorrow - I have wifi so I will probably keep in touch as much as usual!

PS - My husband and I filed for divorce July 1 and since then I have been going through the house trying to get back to square one so I can figure out what to do with the house and myself and the future.

I predict I will have lots of grief this week due to ex cleaning out the workshop. It used to be a garage, and he took it in 1987 when we moved in so he could have a space for wood working. OMG. He left the space in a shambles - took all he could manage in 4 or 5 afternoons and left me half a garage bay of wood and crap. OMG. He took 5 bottles of camping propane and left the 6th one that was rusty and dirty - god. Thought I would have a space to move the basement junk into, now it looks like I have another HUGE project to contend with.

On the plus side, I see now that so much of his life must have been caught up in that space, not progressing, not fulfilling him - he did a lot of projects but he seems to have started many that did not pan out and he didn't get rid of them, hoping that he would get to them.

I think sometimes seeing the potential in a project can stall one from proceeding - like looking at what weight I could get to, used to be at, would be healthiest (?) at and thinking I could never do that.

One step at a time - isn't that what we say here? Be kind to yourself - isn't that the mantra this year? Oh dear. Too much to deal with right now - vacation comes at a perfect time.

That's great that you and your daughter are getting away together. I hope you guys have loads of great mother daughter fun. It's awesome to have a great relationship with your daughter. You will get back on track when you get back. Maybe try some dvd's and just make yourself start your day with one every day. I know it will jump start you and then you will get more motivated once you start seeing some results. Give it a try. You won't be sorry!

Enjoy your vacation and making some special memories with your daughter. When you pack your suitcase, leave your problems and the scale behind. Definition of vacation-a period of time devoted to pleasure, rest,or relaxation. Enjoy!!!
