I ate a whole 200g bag of chips with onion dip last night. I wanted to say goodbye to chips, because I was feeling triggered by images of it and people telling me they were having chips & dip. Chips & dip always felt like a special weekend treat. I ate the bag mindlessly; it was gone before I knew it. This is habitual, addiction-like behaviour. Why say "goodbye" when I knew I would ingest excessive calories, sodium and fat? No more "goodbye ceremonies"; just move forward.
