Draglist's Journal, 14 Apr 18

Woke at 205.6, down 6.0 after an OMAD day that followed a complete fasting day. I could not believe this weigh-in at first! I finally got some sleep and moved a lot of water and bulk yesterday. This is my lowest weight since June 2017. Will fast until dinner again today. Beautiful sunny 80-degree day on tap here. Hope you enjoy your Saturday! UPDATE: Checked blood ketones at 1:45 pm. Got a nice 1.7 millimolar reading. Just the slightest hunger pangs while reviewing FatSecret journal entries. Passed now. Will have a nice dinner at about 6. UPDATE: Fasted until 6 pm. Weighed before dinner and back up to 208.0 showing the day's rehydration. Ate 1000 calories at dinner and then went to see Denise singing with the Chesapeake Choral Arts Society. They were very good. Came home and had another 600 calorie snack of cheese, turkey, walnuts, and a ketone bar. Do we call that one and a half meals a day? Will fast until 6 pm tomorrow.

@Draglist - My sister recommended this to me: The Science of Fasting https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075824XCB/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0 (If you have Amazon Prime this is free). Basically I was going easy on fasting because I though it was causing loss of muscle tone ect. Turns out the scientific studies on animals shows that the body switches to burning the lipids (fats) and holds off on most of the protein until the fats are depleted (around 40 days). Anyway, next week I will be more aggressive about the fast and go water and Master Cleanse only the final 2 days.

@Draglist - That bounce back happens to me every week. I cannot get more than 1 pound a week loss. Oh well, still moving in the right direction. Hang in there, I know you will!

Holy cow 🐮! Bill - that is fantastic. I started OMAD myself but not for the weekend. What is the difference between a 24 hour fast and OMAD? I actually had to google OMAD to find out that’s what I’m doing...
