Woke at 207.4, down 3.8 from yesterday as I start to drop some of the 10 pounds of water that were injected into my fat cells from drinking too much red wine and having a big dinner out a few nights ago. It's killing me that the wine has that effect, but there were no other significant changes. Except when I went back to work this week, I haven't been sleeping enough and my water consumption dropped by half. I will be taking an empty canteen into the office to fill up at the water cooler. My friends tell me we're starting a water club soon. And I will have to start going to bed earlier but I hate that! Will have to try to manage my workload better. Slept 12 hours last night although I know you can't truly 'make up' a sleep deficit. It's 86 degrees today and sunny! Hope it's nice where you are and you have a super weekend! UPDATE: Stayed under 1000 calories and pretty happy with the macros. Pre-bed weigh in down 4.6 from yesterday so doing well. Walked five miles late in the evening.

HI, lots of water, not so much wine. I'm quitting the beer and wine again, it really doesn't make me feel good. Sleep is good, wish I could squeeze in enough. I need to be in bed by 7:30 since my alarm goes off @ 4-- almost impossible to get those 8 hours.

WFN, I'm crying about getting up a 6! Your schedule would kill me as I am a night owl. Wine is blessed... that's all I needed to hear, April! Will try to do a better job of moderating...

Hey Draglist. I find when I drink more than one glass of wine, I gain. I think my body is trying to tell me something. A shot, or two, of tequila has no effect on my weight. LOL! So I drink a glass of lemon or lime flavored water instead of the glass of wine. This way I am getting in more water, too.

Sandy, a good solution. I also find ice water with a bit of Roses lime juice (or similar brand) in water or a small wedge of lemon, orange or lime added to water makes a tasty refreshing drink. Beware though Roses has some sugar. I notice if I'm not drinking any alcohol my mid section gets firmer and some of the flabby disappears, I sleep better, and have more energy. Why do I resort to beer and wine when life gets stressful? have to figure that out. Finished the last beer in my house yesterday, won't buy more. If I don't buy it I can't drink it. Bill, sleeping until 6 is sleeping late for me. LOL. Today slept until 7:30 after convincing myself to go back to sleep @ 5:30.. After being off since the 19th is back to 4:00 alarm and am going to try hard to do a workout before work in the am.

Right there with you! I'm not drinking enough water. I've been eating under 1000 calories and dropping everyday so I'm gonna ride that train until it ends! :-)

Nice job. I'm aiming for half my weight in water (or other drinks) in ounces since I read Skinny Gut. It's really helping with the regularity.

Skinny Gut sounds familiar; I'll have to look it up. I know I should drink half my weight in water however that would be 113 ounces a day. I have a hard enough time getting 60 oz in. :-)

Yes, there is a book and a line of products. But the book is great, 100 plus ounces is a challenge. I have a 24 ounce water glass at home and that makes it easy when I'm there. When I'm at work it is more difficult!

I've started drinking sparkling mineral water during the day. The fizz makes it entertaining to my mouth, plus the minerals add micronutrients. I really like the flavor of a Mexican brand, "Mineragua".. I go through about a liter of it a day (33.8 oz), and about a half gallon of unsweetened iced tea.

Thanks, Mskestrela! I actually have been drinking a lot of that, too. La Croix, Schweppes, and Wegmans are the ones I have found. Really good!
