Draglist's Journal, 07 Apr 17

Woke at 206.4, down .2 from yesterday but not as much of a drop as I expected after losing 2.4 on my evening weigh in last night (from the day before). I added magnesium citrate back in as a supplement a few weeks ago. Will drop that and see if it has an effect. Slightly more water retention than I had been experiencing. UPDATE: Did OK on calories until dinner. Had some meatloaf and broccoli and it just wasn't enough. Went back for more meatloaf and then a handful of Brazil nuts. Over by 500 or so, but I’m doing what my body tells me. Got my five miles in.

Hi Bill, it's such a numbers game isn't it? But you never let the numbers get to you. Hope you have a great week-end.

Bill, I think it is great you are seeing results! I am getting back to this again myself. I am finally home for a while, I think.

Definitely better to recognise when you really need more and eat something sensible, rather than toughing it out and end up eating bad stuff!

I was doing that low carb thing too. it's probably what is holding you back more than the magnisium. Try to switch your macros to some more like 200g carb, 200g protein? 50g fat. your body needs carbs for energy, and to burn fat. staying a such a low carb level for a long period can actually have negative effects on your weight loss.

Bill, those who don't know you will always assume you're a rookie and try to guide and help. You've been doing this a long time. I know you've got this. You always manage to tweak and fiddle and get where you need to be. I'm amazed at how you manage to control your weight, 'suffer' the fluctuations, manage your medical issues and still keep on keeping on, always with a positive attitude, good energy and a ready smile. You are indeed superman :) . Low carb/high fat for the win :) :)

I'm not trying to be rude either. I see you've lost 119 pounds and that absolutely awesome. Congratulations! I'm also no doctor, if there's health concerns that's not something I'm qualified to speak on. I'm just more pointing on your comment of going for second, your body needs what it needs. When I say carbs, I don't mean bread, and french fries, I mean brown rice, whole grains, and fruit. With high protein low fat lean cuts of meat. if you know and have tried all this, you know what's best, I'm was really just trying to be helpful, just pointing out in a lot of long term weight loss journey's a change in routine whether it be from high fat/ low carb to whatever, and change up in your routine, and greatly benefit you, shake things up, and get you over that hump, baring any heath concerns to that nature. great work man. keep it up!
