Draglist's Journal, 13 Feb 17

Woke at 217.4, up 2.0 from yesterday. Hello, frozen strawberry carbs! Targeting 600 calories today on an IF day. The rest of the week will be very interesting as I am going into the hospital tomorrow. Will be in for at least two weeks and perhaps three. Not sure what my eating schedule will be but I will be taking coconut oil, nuts, seeds, and all my supplements with me. Will eat the protein and veggies they provide. Will not eat sugar, grains, unhealthy oils, margarine, or sweet fruits. Also, by the end of the week my microbiome will be compromised. Scant info on the Internet about how to rebuild that. Dr. Perlmutter is the only person talking about it but he admits the science is too new... So, the next phase of the great experiment is about to take place! UPDATE: Ate a light lunch, and then dinner at 5:30. Before that, walked six miles and pushed a lot of water. Weighed 212.6 before eating. Splurged on an apple and piece of cheese so went over calorie goal by 250. That will be my last fresh fruit for while.

Interesting thought on the supplements. Let us know what they say. I would imagine they'd be concerned of any adverse reaction with treatment.

I'd pack them.... that's just me. They're not going to frisk you or put you thru a metal detector.

Oh my... good luck with your hospital stay! Will they allow you to take any probiotics to help rebuild your gut biome? Also, eat plain yogurt if you can.

Tell them no sugar, no wheat and maybe they'll send you something you can eat.
