Woke at 218.8, down 3.2 from yesterday. Up moving a lot of water overnight, but that’s about it. Will keep after it today with another round of pre-colonoscopy prep to see if I can win that battle. Again will fast until dinner. Targeting 1406 calories today to finish the month on my 1671 per day average (2100 calorie regular days plus 600 calorie 5:2 IF days). UPDATE: Almost 5 pm and fast is going well. Not hungry in the least. Did have coconut oil in coffee to start the day. Just finished HIIT weighted squats, so that is done. Will have chicken and 'cauliflower potato salad' for dinner. Drug store out of liquid magnesium citrate, but after a day of pushing fluids, I finally got some relief and won't need it. UPDATE: Fasted until 6 pm and weighed in just before dinner. Got a 215.0. Dropped five pounds of excess water and waste. Nailed calorie goals exactly, for the day and for the month. Eating one meal at night really allows for a satisfying dinner with lots of options. Will follow the same 5:2 plan next month but will try to hit the fat macro harder. It sure is hard to get 180 grams of fat in each day!

Oh geez, Bill! That prep is nasty. I feel for you buddy. It sounds as if you are getting things moving along. I hate that you are not passing water or wsste .... what are those meds you are taking. I will hope I never have to take them. Bless your heart.

Hi, Mom. I hope you never have to take these either! I hate to be evasive, but not ready to share that in 'FS public' yet. Maybe in a few months. But I'm doing well and just pissed about the weight aspects of it! Thanks for your kind thoughts and have a great weekend!

LOL. Did it earlier this year but in this instance, just wanted the cleaning out. But turns out I don't need it after all.

Draglist, I went to the Chow article in the NYtimes and followed the link to the NIH calculator. Very interesting and useful! Thank you for that tip. I've been planning to recalculate my RDI, and this is the perfect tool. Tomorrow is the beginning of August, so perfect timing. I'm resetting my RDI, based on the calculator result: brilliant. Thanks.

Thank you, ChicaLean! I've made up for it today. Should be back on my way down tomorrow. Still a ton of water locked up in the muscle tissue. Got to release that, too.

Thanks, Erika! I used it very successfully to lose my first 100 pounds in one year and one week. I'm still doing calorie restriction in addition to LCHF, so I still follow the tenets. Best of luck to you and please keep in touch and let me know how it works!
