Draglist's Journal, 12 May 16

Woke at 214.4, down 3.4 after a nice fasting day. Had three tablespoons of coconut oil in coffee throughout the day. Had plenty of energy and was not hungry. Will have black coffee this morning and then have lunch with my team at a conference. Targeting 2070 calories.

Hmmn, I have some Carrington farms CO in my desk. Maybe after my run and sit to eat lunch, I will drizzle 3 tbsp over my chicken leg and toss out the white rice that somehow got in my lunch bowl last night when I was packing it. Hope it holds me over till dinner. Or I could make some iced coffee with half and half and add the 3 tbsp to it.

Your fast day is inspiring me...I may try it this Sunday...knowing you've managed it gives me impetus! I'm a bit disappointed that it will be 2 weeks come Monday and not yet dropped 1 kg successfully...

Draglist have you always been doing the 5:2 style you mentioned? 2033 calories for 5 days and 500 calories for 2 days?

Nicole: 16:8 is when you fast 16 hours out of the day and allow yourself to eat in an 8 hour window. It's like a daily mini-fast. I've read that your body begins repairing after 12 hours of fasting, so the 16 hours gives time for your body to repair and benefit everyday.

I see. Thanks for explaining. I will try something like that too later. Today I'm trying an apple and coffee day...I'm very frustrated after seeing nearly 2 weeks gone by and not much drop...
