Woke at 211.0, up 3.8 after a Mother's Day out that included barbecue and chocolate. Extreme water retention! Got a 600 calorie fasting day in store but will eat breakfast as I'm teaching a class of high-level federal project managers at 8 am and I need to be powered up and ready! Will eat very light later. UPDATE: Ate about 1100 calories by the time I got home, so I went ahead and ate 1498 calories today to catch up on non-fast day average. I will save my 600 calorie day until Wednesday as I will be working at the office and can manage it better. Then I will do 600 calories on Friday and then begin again on Monday. Did 42 minutes of treadmill tonight to hit my 6 miles after a good day of walking at work. Weighed 209.4 after.

I think also it might be an allergy to carbohydrates? I'm suspicious of this for myself as I too gain soooo much weight with bread/pasta...and it triggers something in me that wants more...I kind of link it to alcoholism...the addiction/ allergy cycle...Anyhow, very impressive with your determination to get back on with things...you've done incredibly well so far...so whatever you're doing, it's working!!

Have a great day Bill. I am thinking this 5:2 fast might work in your favor. You can arrange that low calorie day to suit your schedule. Cool!

Bill, "normal" people are going to wind up getting sick, eventually, eating the wrong stuff, too. Promise me, when on your 5 days of feasting, you won't eat the white stuff ... it is poison to you.

Hey Bill...I can see a flush and woosh on your near horizon...I've seen that carb/water short term bloat myself but never to the extant you're experiencing...that is amazing, and not in a good way. Take care bud, have a great week!!

I'm into hour #2 on a long overdue endurance training session...originally targeted 55 minutes but nothing pressing and still feeling great. Multi-tasking helps kill the minutes...good luck mate!!!
